A Family Tradition

Although Juanita's III has only been operating since 1983, the Tucker family tradition of selling authentic Mexican food to the Inland Empire dates back more than fifty years.

In 1957, two sisters, Maria and Rosa Tucker, started selling tacos and burritos out of a small grocery store they owned in order to supplement their income. Their Mexican food turned out to be a big hit, so they decided to trade in their grocery business for a restaurant.

One restaurant expanded into several across the Inland Empire...including ours! Maria and Rosa are actually responsible for more than fifteen popular Mexican restaurants in the area. However, Juanita's III is one of the few original restaurants still owned by the Tucker family.

That's why we strive to continue Maria and Rosa's tradition of serving the Inland Empire delicious and authentic Mexican food. We use only the freshest of vegetables and best cuts of meat, and of course, stay true to the original recipes created by the family more than fifty years ago.

So Who Is Juanita?

When the Tucker sisters set out to open yet another Mexican restaurant, they decided to name it after Maria's daughter, Juanita, who had unfortunately passed away at a young age. The name was meant to commemorate Juanita so that her memory could continue to live on.
